Shadow Creek Ranch Front Yard
🌿 A Fresh, Natural Look for This Shadow Creek Ranch Front Yard
There’s nothing like a clean, refreshed landscape to welcome you home — and this Pearland front yard got exactly that!
Before
For this Shadow Creek Ranch renovation, our goal was to enhance curb appeal with a classic, low-maintenance look that complements the home’s warm brick and stone exterior. The homeowners wanted a cleaner, more natural appearance — so we removed all of the red mulch and replaced it with premium shredded hardwood mulch.
After! A gorgeous new front yard for our Shadow Creek Ranch, Pearland client.
This change instantly gave the landscape a richer, more organic tone that ties beautifully with the existing stone border and new plant selections.
🌸 What We Did
The before image
✅ Removed red mulch and installed fresh, natural hardwood mulch for a timeless, high-end look
✅ Replanted color beds with seasonal blooms for continuous interest
✅ Trimmed and reshaped existing sago palms to restore symmetry and balance
✅ Defined all bed edges with stone for a polished finish
✅ Added selective foundation plantings for year-round structure and texture
The result: a landscape that feels fresh, natural, and perfectly suited to Pearland’s sunny climate.
After! What an amazing front yard for our client now! A beautiful new look they can love for many, many years.
💬 Why Hardwood Mulch Makes a Difference
Unlike dyed mulches that fade or leach color into surrounding soil, natural shredded hardwood mulch enriches the soil as it breaks down, helps retain moisture, and improves root health. It also allows the vibrant greens and florals to stand out — giving your yard that well-tended, professionally finished look all year long.
